Taking time out for yourself is an important part of self care, and it can be hard to fully relax when each day flies by. To celebrate National Relaxation Day we are giving you some top tips on how to relax and make the most of ‘me time’.
Book a Spa Day
Postpone the busy schedule, put off the housework and take the kids to Grandmas, it’s time to book a spa day. Enjoy a Prosecco by the pool, a relaxing spa treatment and all the peace and quiet you deserve. A Spa Day is a great way to treat yourself, and not only has physical benefits that comes with a stress relieving massage, but the mental health benefits mean you’ll head home feeling relaxed, refreshed and stress-free, well, until you pick up the kids anyway!
Take a class
An exercise class might not be your first thought on National Relaxation Day, but have you considered Yoga or Pilates? These classes work on your balance, core strength and spiritual discipline. They allow you to focus your energy on the class, and will teach you how to relax your body and mind. So leave your worries at the door and come and join one of our amazing classes, you won’t regret it!
Read a book
Although it can be tempting to scroll through endless social media channels on your phone, why don’t you take the time to get lost in a good book. Perhaps you can sit out on our brasserie terrace soaking up the summer sun? Or by the pool with a cocktail, it’s a great way to relax and unwind, and get away from the hustle and bustle of daily life.
Go for a walk
Ardencote is surrounded by 83 Acres of countryside, so it’s the perfect place to take a walk and explore. The lake is the perfect spot for relaxing, look out for our resident swans and take in the fresh air, you’ll be feeling more relaxed before you know it. Just make sure you watch out for the golf course!
